Your creative field
We are looking for a full-time, permanent Lead Software Developer (all genders) based in Germany to start on 01.06.2026. We live remote-first, but you have the freedom to choose whether you want to work hybrid or completely on-site due to your proximity to one of our locations.
You're an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and helping teams build reliable, well-designed systems - someone who understands the big picture but is also happy to jump into the code when needed? We've got you.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our development teams and gradually get to know how we build software today – from our development structure to the architecture behind our systems. From there, your focus will be on helping the team tackle complex tasks, think through technical solutions, and design clean, well-defined APIs.
You’ll also be part of our Architecture Board, where technical decisions and architectural topics are discussed. A big part of your role will be making sure that the solutions we build follow our architectural principles and remain maintainable in the long run.
At the same time, you’ll act as a technical partner for the team. You’ll help colleagues break down complicated topics, support them when they run into tricky problems, and share your experience during code reviews and technical discussions. Mentoring and knowledge sharing are an important part of the role and should be something you actively enjoy.
In day-to-day work, you’ll collaborate with different teams to turn new product ideas and requirements into technical solutions. You’llhelp plan and estimate upcoming projects, lead technical refinement discussions, and keep an eye on the overall quality of what we build - from code quality and maintainability to security and performance.
You’ll also be someone the team can rely on when things get complicated: helping troubleshoot difficult issues, thinking through improvements to our architecture and identifying opportunities to make our systems better.
Finally, you’ll help onboard new developers, evaluate new tools when needed and contribute to creating an environment where good technical decisions and collaboration come naturally.
