We are looking for a full-time, permanent General Ledger Accountant (all genders) to start as soon as possible. We are remote-first, but you can choose whether you want to work hybrid or entirely on-site, depending on your proximity to one of our locations. Since a large part of the finance team is based in the Cologne area, this is particularly convenient.

Our growth will continue steadily in 2026, and tasks will become even more complex, including in the finance department. We are looking for you to ensure that the company's growth and the associated changes are correctly reflected in the accounting and financial statements.

After familiarizing yourself with our companies and business models with the help of your colleagues in the GL team and accounting, you will accompany and support the accounting department, e.g., in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. In addition to reviewing and commenting on these, you will also accompany audits as the main contact person at home and abroad, make your own bookings (e.g., in fixed assets or in the intercompany area), and ensure that the companies are ready for audit.

Even though we already have a well-established team, different perspectives, experiences, and new ideas are always welcome. So please take the time to familiarize yourself with the processes in your area of responsibility, review them, and optimize them if you see potential. This will also give you the opportunity to contribute creatively and leave your mark.

What convinces us

Your personality, coupled with:

• A degree in economics or commercial training with additional qualifications as an accountant
• Accounting knowledge in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is desirable
• Excellent analytical skills
• very good English skills for communicating with your international colleagues
• three to five years of professional experience in a comparable position
• experience in auditing – desirable, but not a must-have
• the desire to further develop your own area of work
• commitment and a sense of responsibility, as well as the desire to familiarize yourself with the company structure and stay up to date

Dein Gestaltungsfeld

Wir suchen zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt in Vollzeit und unbefristet eine:n General Ledger Accountant (all genders). Wir leben Remote-First, aber Du kannst selbst wählen, ob Du durch Deine Nähe zu einem unserer Standorte hybrid oder ganz vor Ort arbeiten möchtest. Da ein großer Teil des Finance-Teams im Kölner Raum sitzt bietet sich das hier besonders an.

Auch 2026 hält unser Wachstum konstant an und die Aufgaben werden noch vielschichtiger, auch im Finance-Bereich. Damit das Unternehmenswachstum und die damit einhergehenden Veränderungen auch korrekt in der Buchhaltung bzw. in den Abschlüssen abgebildet sind, suchen wir dich.

Nachdem du dich, mit Hilfe deiner Kolleg:innen im GL-Team und Accounting, mit unseren Gesellschaften und Geschäftsmodellen vertraut gemacht hast, begleitest und unterstützt du das Accounting, z.B. bei der Erstellung von Monats- und Jahresabschlüssen. Neben der Prüfung und Kommentierung dieser, begleitest du auch Audits als Hauptansprechpartner:in im In- und Ausland, führst eigene Buchungen durch (z.B. im Anlagevermögen oder im Intercompany-Bereich) und stellst die Prüfbereitschaft der Gesellschaften sicher.

Auch wenn wir bereits ein eingespieltes Team haben, eine andere Perspektive, andere Erfahrungen und neue Ideen sind immer herzlich willkommen. Deshalb nimm dir gerne auch die Zeit und befasse dich mit den Prozessen in deinem Verantwortungsbereich, reviewe sie und wenn du Potenzial feststellst, optimiere sie. So hast du auch die Möglichkeit, dich kreativ einzubringen und einen Fußabdruck zu hinterlassen.

Was uns überzeugt

Deine Persönlichkeit, gepaart mit:

einem Studium der Wirtschaftswissenschaften oder eine kaufmännische Ausbildung mit der Zusatzqualifikation Bilanzbuchhalter
Bilanzierungskenntnissen nach HGB, nach IFRS ist wünschenswert
deinen sehr guten Analysefähigkeiten
sehr guten Englischkenntnissen, für den Austausch mit deinen internationalen Kollegen
drei bis fünf Jahren Berufserfahrung in vergleichbarer Funktion
Erfahrung im Auditing - wünschenswert, aber kein Must-have
dem Willen den eigenen Arbeitsbereich weiterzuentwickeln
Engagement und Verantwortungsbewusstsein und der Lust, dich in die Unternehmensstruktur einzuarbeiten und auf dem aktuellen Stand zu bleiben
